Study on pretesting and extraneous variable as modifiers in Heartfulness meditation intervention in Health care Professionals through Solomon four group design

Abstract
Introduction:
Aim: The current study was planned to study different effect modifiers in Heartfulness meditation intervention in health care professionals
Methods
The current study was done using Multimethod study design in Anand District amongst healthcare professionals. Multi Method Design (Multiple approach Design) was used. In the Solomon study, for the participants of the intervention group (Group I and Group III), a 2-page posttest questionnaire was designed with intervention including PSS, BRCS scores (2nd time-T2), Health Belief Model stages and with 2nd HRV measurement.
Results: There was a significant difference between Group I and III for post PSS score and no such significant difference was seen for Group II and IV. So, pretesting has some different effect in the intervention and nonintervention groups. Post PSS score was more in Group III as compared to Group IV.
Conclusion: Effect of the pretest was different in the presence of the intervention and an interaction between pretest and treatment existed.
